Dr. Philippe Mercier holds a law degree and a Ph.D. in law from the Universtiy of Lausanne. He was qualified to practice law as an attorney in 1975. His main areas of practice are Civil law, Commercial law, Contract law, Torts and Personal Injury, Insurance law and Health law. He is a member of the Vaud Bar Association and of the Swiss Bar Association. He is the author of a Ph.D. thesis « Le jugement par défaut en procédure civile vaudoise », Thèse droit Lausanne 1974.
