
Holding a law degree from the Universities of Lausanne and Basel, Florence Bettschart-Narbel is registered as an attorney at the Bar of the canton of Vaud.
After practicing for around ten years at a Geneva law firm, she joined in 2008 the Fédération romande des consommateurs – the leading consumer association for French-speaking Switzerland – as Head of Policy and Legal Affairs. In this role, she developed extensive expertise in consumer law, unfair competition and antitrust law. She also participated in several working groups focused on the revision of copyright law and the data protection legislation at federal level.
Since 2016, she has been a member of the Swiss Competition Commission (Comco). This position gives her a detailed understanding of regulatory expectations, enforcement mechanisms, and legal risks associated with antitrust law.
In 2018, she founded Comity Sàrl, a consultancy firm specialized in data protection. Her work focused on compliance analysis, risk assessment, governance frameworks, and the drafting of clear and practical legal documents.
Alongside her work as a lawyer, she holds political and institutional positions, notably as a member of the Vaud Cantonal Parliament (Grand Conseil) and on several foundation boards active in the social, cultural, health, and educational sectors.
